Heritage 1905: Revolutionary Molded Fiber Cigarette Packaging

The Heritage 1905 design takes inspiration from the rich history of the company, encapsulating its hundred years of development in ten captivating sketches. Each sketch tells a story, representing a remarkable journey for the company. The packaging's main color, a vibrant orange, symbolizes the glory and maturity of the brand, while the dark brown serves as a dignified auxiliary hue.

What sets Heritage 1905 apart is its pioneering use of molded fiber packaging for cigarettes. This innovative approach utilizes environmentally-friendly materials, making it the first of its kind in the world. The advanced fiber molded technology employed in the packaging ensures extraordinary precision and a unique tactile experience. The surface of the packaging features ten creative sketches, brought to life through exceptional embossing techniques, reflecting both the purity of the material and the brand's century-long history.

The realization of the Heritage 1905 design involves a combination of techniques, including molded fiber production, embossing, spot color printing, and the use of specialty paper. These elements work together harmoniously to create a visually stunning and environmentally conscious packaging solution.

The design team behind Heritage 1905 consists of Wang Huan, Li Yin, and Lawrence Chen, who collaborated to bring this groundbreaking concept to life. The project commenced in April 2019 and was completed in December 2019, both in China.

Recognized for its ingenuity and creativity, Heritage 1905 has been honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that exemplify resourcefulness and authenticity, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
